The river Paragua in Uraima Falls is a real paradise for fishing for one of the largest freshwater trophies in Latin America, so much appreciated by the fishermen of the fighter “Payara”. Uraima Falls is a very privileged place to fish for Payara, both by the large concentration of these fish and their large size, which reaches up to 40 lbs. The average catch is between 10-15 fish per day per angler. !!!
7 Days /6 Nights
Day 1. Caracas – Puerto Ordaz
Arrival to Caracas, assistance at the airport. Transfer to the National Airport to take your flight to Puerto Ordaz. Transfer to the hotel. Overnight.
Day 2. La Paragua – Uraima Falls (BLD)
Breakfast. Early transfer to Maripa (230 Km approx). In Maripa, you will take a boat to the camp. Begin to fish, have Lunch, and refreshing drinks in the boat. Dinner and overnight in the lodge.
Day 3 4-5. Fishing in Uraima Falls (BLD)
Breakfast. Early departure (7.30 am), fishing excursion until midday, return to the camp to have lunch, and then take the second fishing excursion in the afternoon until 6 pm.
For the companion, people who are not going fishing can take excursions to the nearby Orinoco arms to admire the fauna and wildlife, visit the nearby falls, or accompany them in the boat, being one fisherman and one companion to witness their catch and take photographs.
Day 6. Puerto Ordaz (B)
Transfer to La Paragua and then land transfer to Puerto Ordaz. On our way, we will stop at the Yekuana indigenous community to buy handicrafts and souvenirs. Transfer to the hotel in Puerto Ordaz. Overnight.
Day 7. Puerto Ordaz – Caracas (B)
Breakfast. Transfer to the airport to take your flight to Caracas and then the international connection.
