Morrocoy National Park

Morrocoy National Park, Venezuela

This park of 32.090 hectares located in Falcon State, between the village of Tucacas and Chichiriviche occupies as much land zones as aquatic; it contains a great amount of small barren islands or keys with crystalline waters. The beaches of Morrocoy are spectaculars also, underneath them, the coral reefs and the multicolor fishes offer their splendor to the divers. The Sea surrounding the islands offers Windsurf and other marine activities. Thousands of exotic birds live in the zones nearby, from the elegant red flamingo, the agile caiman from the coast, the wind duck (pato ala Azul) and the yellow head parrot. The Posada is located in front of the sea and has a private pier. Daily excursions by boat to the keys are offered. Lunches are served at the beach and dinner is taken under the moonlight at the Posada´s restaurant
