One of South America's Most Impressive natural displays. The Auyantepui is a high sandstone plateau that belongs to the Roraima formation, one of the oldest in the world (2.000 million years), already existing when Africa and America were one big continent. Its flat top has an area of approximately 700 km2, as large as to fit many of the Caribbean Islands on it.
The Angel Falls, the Highest Waterfall in the World, drops from the mysterious Auyantepuy, named by the Pemon Indians, meaning "The House of the Waters". This Tepuy's major feature is the diversity of habitats and the endemic forms of life. The flora and the fauna on the top are completely different from those at the bottom, and many species remain unrecorded. On top, we can find swamps, sandstone fields, volcanic rock formations, and pink rivers.

We begin walking along a wide savannah, with the amazing view of the rock wall formed by the Auyantepuy. As we walk toward the gorge, the vegetation changes abruptly into dense jungle.
The hiding places of ocelots, anteaters, macaws, parrots, and toucans. You will enjoy the Kavak River and its many swimming holes, formed in the cavities of reddish, shining rocks, which invite you to plunge. We will swim through a narrow gorge where cascading water falls with great force, creating a natural pool, where you will enjoy a relaxing bath.
The view of the waterfalls turns the adventure into a truly mystical experience; you will be surrounded by rock walls, which are formed by the tepuy's deep crevices, which open the visitors to the sight and sounds of the magnificent Kavak falls: a violent white water fall roaring through the middle of a gigantic circle of shiny stones. Return to the lodge. Dinner and overnight in this secluded and exotic place.

Once you are up the mountain, the view will leave you breathless. In the middle of Canaima National Park, your local guide will give you detailed stories about the ancient rock formations, once considered the gods and goddesses of the Indians. Time to enjoy a bath on the beach in front of the falls.
