CANAIMA – ANGEL FALLS- PUERTO ORDAZ - GRAND SAVANNAH – SANTA ELENA DE UAIREN – BOA VISTA – MANAUS – CRUISE IN THE AMAZONS

14 Days/13 Nights

Day 1. Caracas

Arrival at Maiquetia International Airport. English bilingual assistance by an Alborada Guide who gives the traveler the briefing on the program. Transfer to the hotel in Caracas Littoral Overnight.

Day 2. Caracas – Canaima- Sapo Falls (BLD)

Breakfast. Transfer to the airport to take the flight to Canaima by Puerto Ordaz. Arrive at the Lost World of Canaima. Ancestral land of very diverse indigenous communities, a region that has managed to preserve its mysterious charm produced by the magnificence of its jungles and mountains.

It's also home to the imposing Tepuyes: strange rock formations considered to be the most ancient in the world, along with the South of Africa, which rise as grand islands lost in time and space. Enjoy a promenade through the pinky waters of Canaima Lagoon until we approach Sapo and Sapito Falls where you will walk under the water curtain and take a bath in the river. Dinner and overnight

Day 3. Canaima – Angel Falls (BLD)

Breakfast. Day to an excursion in Canaima: Full Day boat excursion to Angel Falls: From Ucaima Port you take a dugout canoe through the Carrao River, At the Mayupa Rapids it might be necessary to walk for about 20 min. A short time after beginning your journey you will be dazzled by the majestic Auyantepuy, home of the Angel Falls, standing still as a medieval fortress of gigantic dimensions. Its impressive walls shelter the river from both sides.

Once inside the Canyon, the Angel Falls appear in all their majesty when the” curiara” (Indigenous boat) approaches Isla Ratoncito and walks to Laime's lookout point. Having arrived gets to the base of the Angel Falls, and witnesses its mist falling all over the place. Enjoy a nice bath in the pool formed by the waterfall on its way down. Dinner and Overnight near Angel Falls in hammocks.

Day 4. Canaima – Puerto Ordaz (B)

Enjoy your last bath in Canaima. Free time to visit the handicraft shops or visit the Indigenous community. Transfer to the airstrip to take the flight to Puerto Ordaz. Transfer to the hotel. Overnight.

Day 5. Puerto Ordaz – The Grand Savannah (BLD)

Early in the morning begins our trip to the Grand Savannah, a region that borders Brazil. The Grand Savannah is one of the nine most ancient geological areas on the earth and one of the national parks with the most interesting landscapes in Venezuela. Designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, its expanse encompasses the southeast of the powerful Orinoco River and covers a surface of 30,000 kilometers squared.

It is the biggest in Venezuela and the sixth in the world. The traveler will have the ability to contact a rare millennial nature. They will also travel through rainforests, impressive waterfalls, native communities, prehistoric tepuyes, and majestic landscapes where the only thing missing is the dinosaurs.

It's a space where sensations and energies converge and allow for meditation and reflection. The trip continues by passing through the towns of Upata, Guasipati, The Callao, and Tumeremo., the legendary El Dorado Golden region All these villages conserve the structure of mining towns with their own cultural expressions of the time of the colony. Cross The Callao, an underground gold mine. In Tumeremo we will stop to have lunch in a Creole typical restaurant.

We will continue the trip passing by the town of 88 Km and in "The Stone of the Virgen” we will stop to observe this natural monument. From this point, we will ascend until the 1,400 mts. to arrive at The Grand Savannah. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

Day 6. The Grand Savannah (BLD)

After breakfast, we will continue the trip toward the Indigenous population of Iboribo. Visit by Curiara (Indigenous boat with a motor on board) and Aponwao Falls (higher falls of Great Savannah of 106 mts. of height). Soon, we will undertake our return walk passing through Pozo Escondido (the Hidden Well) and Pozo de Los Enamorados (the Well of Lovers) where you can take a refreshing bath and enjoy a picnic lunch. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

Day 7. The Grand Savannah – Santa Elena de Uairén. (BLD)

Breakfast. Departure to Santa Elena de Uairen, occasionally stop to visit places of interest like Kavvi Falls, Kama Meru Falls, and viewpoint El Oso, where you will have the opportunity to take photos of the tepuis and, Arapan Ravine and Soroape Ravine.

At this point, we continue to the Yuruani Falls and El Jaspe Ravine (named after the famous precious stone). Dinner and overnight at the Camp in Santa Elena on the frontier with Brazil.

Day 8. Santa Elena de Uairén /Venezuela – Boa Vista / Brazil (B)

Breakfast. Transfer to the Brazilian border village “La Línea”. Continuation to the Brazilian city of Boa Vista. Overnight in Boa Vista.

Day 9. Boa Vista – Manaus (B)

Breakfast. Transfer to the airport. Flight to Manaus. Arrival and transfer to the Hotel. Visit Manaus. Enjoy the charming boardwalk of Ponta Negra, the most exclusive neighborhood in the city. We go downtown to visit the Amazon Opera House, which opened in 1896 and is one of the main attractions of Manaus, a symbol of the Rubber period where all this wealth and grandeur are revealed in its corridors, halls, and artwork.

From there, you can enjoy the beautiful building of the Amazon Courthouse and the charming “Largo de São Sebastião”. Our tour continues downtown with a panoramic visit to other historical buildings of the golden age of rubber. Visit Adolpho Lisboa Municipal Market in ArtNoveau. The Market style is an important center for the marketing of regional products showing the habits, culture, and traditions of the Amazonian people. Overnight

Day 10. Manaus – Cruise in the Amazons (BLD)

Breakfast. Transfer to the pier. Beginning of the Cruise, boarding and departing upstream on Rio Negro while drinking fresh fruit juice and listening to the information about facilities. After a snack, we will meet at the leisure room of the Cruise for lectures about Amazon where we will understand Amazon preservation and ecology. Explore the little creeks in canoes and listen to the sounds of nocturnal animals with the possibility of observing birds, frogs, snakes, and caimans. Overnight at the Cruise.

Day 11. Cruise in the Amazon (BLD)

Early in the morning, we will explore the surroundings along the water’s edge in canoes while watching fruit-eating birds like parrots and toucans. After breakfast, we will walk in the jungle and discover many surprising fragrances in leaves, fruits, woods, and fauna.

At noon we return to the Cruise and may go for a bath in the river before lunch. In the afternoon, prepare yourself to navigate through the Anavilhanas National Park, one of the world’s largest freshwater archipelagos, a labyrinth of waterways. Overnight at the Cruise.

Day 12. Cruise in the Amazon (BLD)

Early in the morning, we will spend our time fishing some piranhas and other fish. After breakfast, we will visit “Native Communities” where we will find typical Amazonian fruits like Cupuacu and Tapereba; and palm trees like Acai, Tucuma, and Pupunha.

We will learn about the making process of manioc flour and the health and education of the children. After lunch, prepare to land on one of the white sandy beaches to swim in the dark water and enjoy the Pink River Dolphins. In the late afternoon, you will be able to explore the place by canoe and scout for wildlife. Overnight at the cruise.

Day 13. Cruise in the Amazons – Manaus (BL)

If you’re an early bird, go bird-watching at sunrise through the forest and lakes surrounding you by canoe. Afterward, we will explore the Lago January Ecological Park. This area is usually a very good place to observe wildlife and have chances to see the “Victoria Regia” the giant water lilies. Have a well-deserved breakfast after watching the Meeting of the Waters: the Rio Negro and the Solimoes, the world’s two largest rivers. Return to the pier and transfer to Manaus. Continuation to the hotel. Overnight.

Day 14. Manaus – (B)

Breakfast. Transfer to the airport to take the international flight.
