La Blanquilla, Venezuela

It is one of the 311 islands, cays and islets in the Caribbean Sea that make up the Venezuelan Federal Dependencies. About 64 square kilometers and a maximum width of 11 kilometers, It is a frequent destination of tourists both domestic and foreign, who reach it by sea or by using the small airstrip built east of the territory. La Blanquilla is fan-shaped, with the widest part directed towards the northeast. In this coastal arch are the white sandy beaches that attract visitors as well as a secondary Coast Guard Station Navy Venezuela. The color of the sands of the beach are the ones that gave the island its name.
